Why We Are Running

We moved our families to Franklin years ago because of the wonderful nature of the town and in part because the reputation of the school meant our children would receive a first class eduction.

However the reality that we have seen regarding the school is very different to the prior reputation. Educational scores are poor and declining (we will detail that in a post shortly), the finances appear to be a mess and the information sharing by the Board of Education is woeful.

We both have experience in setting up and running large organizations, and are experienced and successful in managing programs with budgets of tens of millions of dollars. We know that Franklin Township School can be run better and are committed to seeing that happen.

When elected we will work to ensure that the financial position is readily available to the community through the FTS website, work on short and medium term goals to raise the performance of the school and ensure at all times that the community is getting value for the money that they are paying through their taxes.

The Board of Education can do far better for the students, the community and the staff of FTS. We are committed to ensuring that it does.
